Computer School
 The
Computer School at Guyanese Outreach's
Youth Learning Centre was one of the first
computer schools in Corriverton and
continues to serve students and the community at large.
GO offers the following courses in
computers: Introduction to Computer, Computerized Typing, Microsoft
Word I, II, III; Microsoft Windows, MS Excel I, II, MS Power Point,
MS Access I, II and the Internet. The computer lab is equipped with
25 computers, printers, and
other equipment.
GO’s training reaches the
elderly, the middle aged, young people, secondary school students,
teachers of both Primary and Secondary schools, the surrounding
communities and villages. GO’s curriculum is designed in a very
simple manner. It
allows even those that have not had a Secondary Education
to be able to learn more. GO takes anyone that is willing to
lean.
In almost every institution in
Corriverton, one can find employees who
were formerly GO’s students that successfully completed our Computer
Courses and are at better paying jobs. Our
program has been able to touch the lives of our students
and the community in a
positive way.
